SQLMesh integration and analytics drill-down

SQLMesh integration, analytics drill-down and improved dbt support

SQLMesh integration

We are excited to announce the preview release of our SQLMesh integration. This integration offers an experience similar to our dbt integration, bringing many features our customers rely on daily.

  • Model Health and Dependencies – Gain insights into model health, dependencies, structure, and audit coverage.
  • Code & Changes – View the raw code of the model, the SQLMesh-generated statements that will be executed in the data warehouse, and the history of recent changes to the model.
  • Lineage Awareness – Understand how models materialize in the DWH via SQLMesh and follow clear links to models and their underlying snapshots.
  • Logs Pane – Aggregate all audit and model executions to quickly view the history and diagnose possible problems with the models.
  • Audit Investigations – See failed audits provide details of the actual SQL used, making it easier to continue investigations.

Analytics drill-downs

You can now drill into the different data quality dimensions. This can help you identify, narrow down, and prioritize issues to fix and get an overview of frequently failing controls that you can remove.

changelog

What else we’ve shipped

🆕 Improved support for switching dbt Cloud region (e.g., US to EMEA) without the need to reconfigure all the products/owners/alerting

🆕 Faster retrieval of Data Warehouse metrics and catalog. We also added support for multiple integrations to be fetched in parallel, which reduces the overall time the warehouse needs to be alive for total-time billed data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift Serverless, Databricks)
